Did you know that the ISSA Foundation has an annual scholarship program for employees of ISSA member companies and their family members? Every year since 1988, the ISSA Foundation has awarded more than 50 different scholarships totaling more than $150,000 per year. (That's more than 3 million dollars total!) Even more exciting - one of these scholarships is exclusive to Maintex employees and their family members.

Who is eligible?
Eligible candidates are employees of an ISSA member company or their relatives, including their spouses, children and grandchildren. Candidates are entering or continuing their education at a fully accredited four year college or university.
Scholarships are awarded based on individual accomplishments, evidence of leadership, and financial need. Other special circumstances are also considered. Scholarships cover the cost of books and tuition only.
What is needed to apply?
- Personal Information
- Essay
- Academic activity and leadership record
- Most recent official high school or college/university transcript
- Official SAT, ACT, GRE, GMAT, or LSAT test scores. (If you are already in college this requirement does not apply to you.)
- Two evaluations from current or past professors or teacher assistants. If necessary, you can have these forms completed by an employer, supervisor or coach.
What's the deadline?
Applications must be postmarked before March 1st. Candidates are welcome to reapply every year.

How is Maintex involved?
The Silvermans are proud to sponsor the Maintex/Silverman Award Educational Scholarship through the ISSA Foundation. Linda, Stu, and Marilyn Silverman personally fund this scholarship, which is awarded annually to a Maintex Employee or one of their family members.
The process and requirements for the Maintex/Silverman Scholarship are the same as those for the ISSA Foundation Scholarship. Every year the ISSA Foundation Board of Directors selects the winner of the Maintex/Silverman Scholarship in the amount of $3,000.
The Clean Up
